Grameen Bank

Grameen Bank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grameen Bank is one such microfinance organization started in Bangladesh that makes small loans (known as microcredit) to the impoverished without requiring collateral.

this is the first time i heard about microcredit in npr while coming back home. later i started google for it... i learnt that it is a wonderful concept. looks like they are promoting women as the repay rate is very high (98% rate)...
